mid-september show roundup
better late than never!
Celebrating my return to Boston after a month away by sitting in pavement, drinking a pumpkin spice latte and typing out this newsletter to you!
Since it’s halfway through September already I’ve only got one show for you, coming up this Sunday;
Sunday, 9/21: Samuel Aaron (chicago), Tiberius (solo), and Nora Meier at the wishing well
Celebrating his debut album “Rambler,” Samuel Aaron is heading east to play a sweet little acoustic show for us! his music is thoughtful, the album is beautifully arranged, and I hope you can help me give him a warm welcome to Boston.
Joining will be local legend Tiberius aka Brendan Wright playing a solo set - Brendan has been killing it lately with a string of singles ahead of their next album, “Troubadour",” out 11/14 on Audio Antihero.
ALSO joining will be wishing well veteran (and newest resident) Nora Meier, a staple of the singer/songwriter community who will spin you in circles with her songs!!
For gigs I didn’t book -
Friday, 9/19 and Saturday, 9/20: Fuzztival 2025 at The Armory
Illegally Blind returns with another packed weekend at The Armory honoring all the loudest bands this city has to offer :) $30 for this amount of music is maybe the best deal in town.
I was about to start listing my must-sees but then realized it’s basically all of these bands…so all I’ll say is that it’s Nurse Joy’s farewell show on Friday so you better show up at LEAST for that set.
Saturday, 9/27: Reimagining Lilith Fair at Club Passim
Returning for its third year, “Reimagining Lilith Fair” will take the stage at Passim for a night of badassery and conversation surrounding intersectionality in the folk/singer songwriter world. Naomi Westwater curates an incredible show year after year, and I’m especially excited for this years’ lineup!! Tickets available here.
That’s all for this month, see you at a gig!
